We should focus on the brainwashes, not the brainwashed. These people have been mentally and emotionally manipulated for their entire lives. They are victims.
We may have escaped the matrix, most have not...have patience and compassion.

Itβs hard when they say the shit that they say n go unchecked
I know it is my friend. But they are not the ones to blame. Mentally and emotionally theses people are children. We don't blame a child for repeating something horrible they hear or throwing a tantrum if they don't get their way. We can't coddle them, but we don't need to celebrate their ignorance. We should ask ourselves how this type of behavior became possible in the first place.
Ridicule is counterproductive to learning. We should be strive to educate.
