the first item of business... the "Droid" line was from Verizon. it's essentially the "Shitcoin" of the Android world. the Droid line was centralized from Verizon and they were in full control of these devices as they all came with locked bootloaders, unable to be rooted, ROMed, or even switch carriers. Back in the day, if you said Droid when referring to Android, you would get tarred and feathered. 😄
