Bio diesel is interesting... I've already addressed wind in #4. (personal use only, I'd say) Where are we going to get the wood to gasify?
Wind, bio diesel (likely run off fish oils), and wood gasification (on-demand hydrogen as with http://www.protonpower.com/technology ) will also eventually have a place in this tool stack.

The guy is Tennessee, that does NOT have a year round growth cycle, is growing all the bio-mass needed to generate 500Kw of continuous power off of 3 acres of cane grass. Any form of wood chips works for this, with the only waste product being bio-char that can be put back into the soil to further improve the soil fertility.
The very best bio-char comes out of hemp, so we simply grow the bio-mass on site in greenhouses using the fastest growing form of bio-mass on earth. The outputs of this become biodiesel or electricity and bio-char to increase outputs in ALL our gardens. Part of what makes hemp superior also is the the bio-char produced from it can also be used to manufacture graphene, creating yet another locally sourced, organically grown building material. Beyond what can be done with the hemp fibers for manufacturing everything from cars, planes, and houses with it as the sourced building materials too.
