the turkey and corn came from the colonies in virginia and shit finally realising their "equitable" scheme of sharing out production of the colony was a disaster and they started selling stuff to nearby towns of indians who had turkeys and corn to trade for whatever shit they could scrape together (probably a lot of horses and steel tools)
