I thought about this and if you use this to timestamp shouldn’t the block mined 6 blocks ago be the one used?

What happens if there is a chain split and you’re using the shorter chain?

Maybe smaller likelihood but if it’s good enough to be a precaution for recently confirmed transactions it may be good enough for any sort of integrity being sought here.
