How many fucking spam, bots and fake accounts are on #nostr?

Also, what's a Pi coin and does it come in apple, cherry & blueberry?

Haha pi coin. Is a "coin" on phone no white paper it's not a crypto. Think of it like runescape gold (video game money) which can be sent to each well like runescape. But there is nothing other than that. They also 'mine' those by like login daily and watching ads. I hope you get the point. If that person is willing to send me zaps first 20 zap a pi. I can arrange the pi coin or whatever. 😁

Also regarding scams and spams. I am of opinion that we should burn all the bridges to mastadon and bluesky and shit. Bots are a lot. Man I wanna see people not a wall of auto generated shit. Wasn't nostr for humans first? Devs need to get out of their little circle of other devs and look at us plebs.

Thanks for the explanation of Pi, tho I'm still unsure and I'm okay with that

As for devs, not every wheel requires reinventing 🙃

Some of my favorite npubs are bots. For instance nostr:nprofile1qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq36amnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wvf5hgcm0d9hx2u3wwdhkx6tpdshsqgqudjezn946405jr0x5tj9kyyajm2cfd7ywfwjk0r2r6x26rp592ylzagql and my feed of news bots. There are definitely several bots around that can be considered useful or entertaining.

Additionally, as far as the protocol is concerned, any post is considered legitimate when it is signed by a private key. There is not a way, at the protocol level, to distinguish between a private key controlled by person, and one controlled by a bot.

That said, there are ways to generally keep bots out of your feed. First, use paid relays or web-of-trust (WoT) relays. In particular, use these for your INBOX relays. That is, the relays where you will be reading from for anyone trying to tag you or DM you.

I see the global feed in amethyst its just bots piss me off. And i replied to some thinking they were people that pissed me more. New here so ill look into WoT. Also will earns more zaps to buy my way into relays.
