I don't know about this, but I do think it's retarded that each programming language has a different package manager when they could all just have the same thing based on git and custom build commands.

Really?! I have much more of a love/hate relationship with them. People tend to misuse them heavily.

Once worked at a place that had repo A that included repo B that in turn included repo A. My recursive clone before leaving for the day did not go well...
