Most people don't understand or care about Bitcoin because most people have little to no value to preserve.

I think the best case is that a few of us will understand Bitcoin and act accordingly, while the vast majority will use and work for Bitcoin, whether directly or indirectly. This is really how life has always worked. Average people are average because they aren't exceptional. We can't change that, and statistically, they won't either.

Most people won't self-custody. Most people won't be sovereign or even seek to be. The whole point, in my view, is to build systems that give people a choice. Until recently, there were no choices for most people.

There was never much chance that the average person would choose sovereignty (they rarely do), but I think most people can sense when they have the option and when they don't. I believe society can only function if choice exists and just enough people choose to be free and protect freedom. It doesn't take as many as I used to believe.

There is hope. The future is bright. Bitcoin will win, even if the average person doesn't choose to maximize their own freedom.
