I have been preaching about Nostr among friends and family for two years now, and not even one person has joined.

With things like getting rid of social media, getting rid of Google, secure email and browsing, VPNs, even banking, I've been trying to convince everyone for a decade at least.

I have had more success with Bitcoin, which shows how sad my results are.

People cannot be bothered to do even the smallest things to help themselves, like simply not using Chrome. Imagine changing their social media.

Everybody will comply, that's all. We can live on the margins, but even us will have comply to some extent. We will have to get better at compartmentalization of our outwards and inwards-facing lives.
