well, balkans has long been a place of hidden enclaves and citadels, during the time of the Ottomans many monasteries cloistered up on hard to reach positions high in the mountains
i think possibly the pole flip positions tend to be fairly stable over more recent history and that the location has been ideal for retreat during the interglacial periods for at least 24000 years, and the terrain perfect for citadels against imperial power, the most recent history
like, maybe you know of the fact that north africa once was a very very wet place?
maybe that is because, as i strongly now suspect, it was the old equator, cutting through from the baltics down through the balkans through the region between libya and egypt and chad
there is other evidences of this being a former warm place as well during bad times, like the fact that the most ancient discoveries of gold come from the shores of the black sea, which if my model is correct, was formerly a subtropical region
when you start to get used to the idea that the earth may well rotate every 12000 years 90 degrees and that the equator in its alternate phase to the one we are in now cuts around that area... it explains SO MUCH
Well i am aware of this place
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tassili_n%27Ajjer
So for sure northern africa area was much different.
Also there were lions here in the balkans etc. Yes it was different. But, i don't know why...
But maybe you should consider that many more volcanos eere active in the past and that can make a difference, i think...

yeah, you see, my hypothes matches this anomalous observations
and i may offend some christian/jew views about the timeline of the Great Flood by saying it was ~12000 years ago and that Babel was in fact a disaster period spanning about 1000 years and when the genesis says ... what does it say, adam lived 900 years... yeah, more like 4500 probably
Christian/jew stories of the old testament are originated on the views of babylonians sumerians and others. They are not their own. Borrowing stories from others reduces much accuracy.
yeah, the similarity between genesis and much of sumerian stories is not hard to notice
but that's why enoch is so interesting because it appears to be from sources that predate those other stories
the epic of gilgamesh also, seems to be temporally located between babylon and noah so again, more points at this direction
There are several books of enoch. I read them all. Some have really old sources, that's for sure.
The story of Gilgamesh is the first written story. And the fact Utnapistim (Noah) is mentioned, is one of the proofs that christians/jews have borrowed their stories from elsewhere.
yep, "first" haha
not just that they borrowed from elsewhere but there was a before, if you ask me
