How did you get moments where the people could actually really express how they feel if you had a government agent with you? Wouldn't they be afraid to express that in front of the government agent for fear of reprisal?

The officer was plainclothes so it didn't stop people from approaching but then he would inform them and those convos basically ended there
He was also recently divorced and lonely so I was able to manipulate him twice and get him a 'date' which gave me some free time. My final night he went back to his city and I paid the guard at the hotel to let me go out and wandered around Tehran until sunrise
