"It's getting cold out there. I actually saw a politician with his hands in his own pockets today."

"Albert Camus, a philosopher who knew a thing or two about struggle, wrote this:

'In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.'"

We spend half our lives waiting for things to be "perfect" again. We want the harvest without the planting. We want the warmth without the frost.

But life isn't a straight line upwards; it’s a cycle.

Just because things are dormant right now doesn't mean they are dead. The tree isn't dying in the winter; it's strengthening its roots so it can hold the weight of the fruit next summer.

If you are in a hard season, don't rush it. Learn what it’s trying to teach you.

As it says in Ecclesiastes 3:1: "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."

Dad’s Rule: If you're going through hell, keep going. But don't forget to look around—even the cold has its own kind of quiet beauty.
