I'm looking for an operating system to replace Windows for developing machine. I found that many people recommend Tail OS. Is this a good choice? or is there something else you recommend to me?

TailsOS is not good for a developer environment, it is good for keeping yourself anonymous. I think rolling release distributions are better for a developer environment. You can use openSUSE, Fedora or Arch Linux if you have experience

Thank you for recommendations🤙

Windows is the majority of my development environment untill now. I have few Ubuntu experiences only for minor things.

If you have little experience, start with ubuntu, it's great.

I will do that. Thank you🤙

Ubuntu is also a good distro, just be careful not to choose LTS distros. You can benefit from this article

https://www.privacyguides.org/en/os/linux-overview/#choosing-your-distribution

I skimmed it quickly and I'm already starting to get a headache. Is because of the mitigated security on LTS?

Since my area of interest is cybersecurity, I naturally take these topics into consideration. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Use whichever one you feel comfortable with

I don't have enough knowlede to understand full context😭

Then, do you recommend interim version, If I should use Ubuntu?

you can use ubuntu 23.04

I got it🤙
