It feels like Nostr is struggling in two major areas:

1) The discussion isn't what the everyman gives a fuck about

2) The UI of the platforms using it assume too much of a user, only making sense for those who want to "be a part of the project"

The protocol has so much going for it and the platforms utilising it are functional, but lacking in UX. I believe fixing 2 helps improve 1. xoxo

TLDR; shit's too nerdy.

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. I wish the best for a decentralized twitter alternative but the people who build this have to realize that it is way too complicated / geeky for the common man. I am not a total technical moron (used to manage Java dev teams back in the day) but this UI is for me a total maze. It is the Linux of social media platforms. You need to get some idiots like me involved with it so as to make this common man compatible. Please take this as constructive criticism because that is what it is.
