"Group" yes, but the subset of groups we call "companies" are anchored in the State and are ultimately a vector of State control over the individual.

Public companies - I’d agree 100% - pretty clear evidence to private companies never to go down that route
Private companies though .. that’s where groups of aligned people can share risks and rewards .. and it’s a key aspect of societal innovation and progress .. like insurance
The corruption of companies and insurance - largely by financial markets - is something in looking forward to watch change

I've seen a non-trivial number of private companies compelled to KYC their users, fire their staff if not vaxxed, etc.
This is not something they wanted to do, but something they had to do because they are fundamentally anchored in the State.
I have a Hut8 mining location nearby, I was going to apply for a tech position. They still require COVID vaccinations.
