The Amish used to be seen as the most backwards and vulnerable population in the United States.
Now they’re the healthiest group in the United States per capita - no autism / metabolic syndrome / diabetes / mental illness / drug addiction.

I brought this up to someone a few weeks ago and they basically responded with “oh yeah? Where are the peer review studies bro?”. I, of course, didn’t have any because I figured it was common knowledge that the Amish aren’t typically the ones who are chronically obese or having heroin overdoses in public playgrounds. That being said, could you refer me to a resource that confirms this?
Hmm. I think it must be the Mennonites, then, who eat tons of fucking trash (homemade, sure, but it's still loaded with starch, sugar, seed oils). Go to any of these shops and see they make everything but it still has all the junk in it. I am not sure how much of it they themselves eat, though (kind of like Asians who cook and serve Americanized Chinese food at their restaurants—I doubt they eat there).
