We have a rule in our house: we don’t use the word “can’t”.
You can and you will. It’s ok not to want to, but “can’t” is not allowed.
I’ll accept:
I won’t
I don’t know
I’m not sure
But you always can.
We can and we’ll get it done ✅

We say: "Can't never did anything" over here.

What about "I shan't"
Reminds me of Yoda: "Do, or do not do. There is no try."
Did anybody in your house say?
"I CAN refuse your rule"
🤣
Another way is to add the word “yet” at the end of the phrase! “We can’t go out… yet!”
I enforce a similar rule at home. Every time I hear : « I’ve not had time to do … », I transform it in: « you did not take time for … ».
It took a while for them to realize time is the great equalizer, but they’re beginning to get it. Even Elon has no more than 24 hours in a day.
Love this 🫂❤️🔥
