Where are my #waterfiltration maxis at?
Thinking dual particulate + reverse osmosis pre tank then UV filter post.
This is on a mains supply.
Any advice water nerds?

Looked into that myself. In the UK we get a lot of rain water … ?! Then you need to figure out what to do with waste and you can ditch the water rates. They’re going up an average of 26% aren’t they in the UK?
Not sure I can be arsed with that. 😂
We have our own farm well + Berkey filter.
Would love to add an extra step to structure it more.
Yes, that's pretty much the standard approach and the one I've used since 2009, except for the UV light I've never been fond of.
I've replaced it by a more "heretic water science" type of device, which aims to restore a better "water structure" or energy. (call it the way you want, really. Most people will poopoo this. I've experimented enough with this sort of technologies to say that beyond all the scam, there are very interesting and useful things. As esoteric as it may sound https://www.grander.com/ are selling valuable products
sourcE your imbibe 1st*/* natural spring or a good well filtered thru earth/natural process 4 imbibe 4ME*****Can't stand to drink processed city, county, guv etc, H2O IZ A major factor 4 bodily functIONz & worth the duediligence & effort of sourcing imho
Doesn't reverse osmosis already give you close to distilled water already? I think it's wise to investigate what type of water you're dealing with (which pollutants to expect) before going all out on an expensive setup. Maybe you can get away with just 1 option.
Remember that reverse osmosis will remove all minerals which means you should consider if you run the risk of deficiencies when drinking large amounts.
Do you re-add minerals in some way?
I have probably one of the best natural sources a man could want so i drink straight from the tap.
But since i'm a coffee snob too i know there are literally packets of minerals you can add to your reverse osmosis or distilled water. For coffee this is important for the taste.
I don't thing it's a big problem to drink water that is devoid of minerals as you can simply add them to your diet through supplementation. I think you could add an electrolyte mixture once or twice a day and be fine as well.
I have whole house filter (particulate only) + RO 5 stage, i dont think you need UV
Hi nathan day 🤟😉🏴☠️ nice to meet you 🤝 Love the setup idea dual particulate + reverse osmosis + UV is a solid strategy for ensuring clean, safe water. The only thing I’d add is considering the post-RO remineralization step. Reverse osmosis strips out not just contaminants, but also beneficial minerals. A simple remineralization filter can bring that balance back. As for UV, definitely crucial for eliminating any microbial threats. Sounds like you’re building a fortress for your water supply keep going, you’re on the right track!
