This #Nostrees Almond tree has been planted in Macclesfield, South Australia, for Bill.

- it was paid for in Bitcoin by nostr:npub1lwy7trur3d7hz65gxq82rujnnllhsan25yfpasgfdzmtzzjf3u5q0v4zv0 for Bill via Nostr over the Bitcoin Lightning Network.

- the 63k sat cost was sent instantly between Chipping Cambden, UK, 16 388km to Macclesfield, SA. While the tree itself was locally grown and sold by a local independent garden centre.

One day I look forward to sitting under Bill's tree in my garden with my Grandchildren, yet to be born. We will eat Almonds and I will tell them the story of Bill's tree and how magic internet money made it possible.

Thanks go to nostr:npub1lwy7trur3d7hz65gxq82rujnnllhsan25yfpasgfdzmtzzjf3u5q0v4zv0 for coming up with the #Nostrees concept, offering me the opportunity to be involved and paying for the tree via BTC. I hope we can honour Bill's memory all the way down here in Australia.

That's planted for the Aussie #permaculture genius Bill Mollison if you haven't worked it out yet.

If you decide you want to plant one of your own #Nostrees like nostr:npub13gwdzauxe7prqdy0jddar4m64jxt8efhsude7dn8efyzxekc2cfsnavqfk let me know. Soon I will be able to zap away more #Bitcoin for #Nostrees over the dormant months and we head into winter in the northern hemisphere. So just repost these notes and let me know if you are interested.

Thank you so much to nostr:npub13gwdzauxe7prqdy0jddar4m64jxt8efhsude7dn8efyzxekc2cfsnavqfk for planting the tree, if you and your family need a space to stay while on holiday in the land of tea, football violence and whinging poms I will of course sort you out. ๐Ÿค™

๐Ÿ˜‚ I did not get that, should have, but didn't.

We may take you up on the offer to stay and you're welcome to stay with us if South Australia is ever a destination for you.

The UK is probably my favourite place to travel, feels like home. I've been twice, but before our kids were born so I'd like to take them one day. Probably a while off though.

Super, look forward to it one day. It's actually really nice round here it's only real downside is the price of land hence the need for Bitcoin and zapping trees elsewhere for now. Hopefully I will have set up some interesting things round here in the next few years and finally acquired an orchard. I haven't got any plans to travel to Australia maybe I should start to think about it though as it's hard to get time off apart from January.

How are you with 40ยฐc weather? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Not always that hot, but great for the beach.

I don't think I have ever experienced 40C! We had about 37C here a couple of years ago which for England is pretty nuts, thankfully it was dry too so wasn't as insanely humid as it can be during some summers.

During that period I just ate a ton of ice cream and drank a load of cold larger almost everyday. Which makes me wonder how come your not all uber fat and you keep winning all the sport? Have you even invented beer down there yet? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyway I bought my daughter who is 6 some Vegemite to try. I guess if she likes it we might be seeing you slightly sooner however she hates spiders.... in England....she would probably have a a nervous breakdown in Australia ๐Ÿคฃ

Big temps and big spiders ๐Ÿ˜‚

I am amazed you don't colloquially refer to them as 'facehuggers' ๐Ÿ˜†

I've had them all over me, put on pants one day and there was a 15cm centipede in them.

Absolutely up to replicate you legends
