Ladies and gentlemen, this is “Okujepisa Omukazendu”, a peculiar tradition of the Himba tribe in Namimbia!

This practice literally means that a wife is given to a guest (typically a family member or friend, and never a stranger) to spend the night while the husband sleeps in another room. The woman has little or no opinion in the decision making. Submission to her husband’s demands come first.

Furthermore, polygamy is widely practiced among the Himba, and the woman

could have sexual relations with whoever she wants, as long as she asks her husband for "permission".
