i live in Russia my entire life. for the last twenty years there was not any tension on Russia/West relationships whatsoever.
we’ve seen Merkel and Obama on the TV all the time visiting Putin and telling how everyone would cooperate and bla bla bla.
and no, he would not invade Europe, what a nonsense

i do not think so. it would be stupid to think that any politician from another country cares about people in the other part of the globe.
