Miss this #TDI so bad. Did all the work on it myself and she was still running strong at 300k miles. Ripped all over the American west in this car, no mercy, and she never left me stranded or missed a start.

40+ MPG and made me a diesel-maxi. Stacked so many Sats over the years bc of superior #VW engineering 🫡

I've got customers on their third turbo by 190k on newer models.

I had both mk3 vr6and mk4 tdi.

They were good.

My needs have dictated some other vehicles, but I'm always looking out for them.

Nice, they’re so awesome. I sold that car for what I bought it for after stacking 80k on it.

I needed something with AWD so I got a gen 2 Touareg TDI and like it a lot. Had it for a year no problems, fun to drive, rips off road and in the snow. But I miss my 5 speed TDI mk4.

My dream is to buy an MK4 R32 and swap in a built out BEW or ALH TDI motor…

TDI, all wheel drive would be a lot of fun.

It would take a fair amount of time, but with a well laid out parts list, it would be quite possible to build one just starting with a base golf.

(Engine/drivetrain/suspension swaps are one of the things I do)

Starting with an r32 would make us significantly simpler, however.

The good part is that all of the needed components are factory VW. Saves a lot of headaches.

It's definitely a project with the time.
