For all my Roman history obsessed friends, remember that the books about the Roman empire are old. "Meditations" and "The history of decline and fall of the Roman empire" are both free on gutenberg.org probably some other interesting stuff too.

The amount of books that are free to read is insane. But people are “tricked” into paying up to $20 for a digital copy.

Stop this madness

Free epub files of classics on a decent eReader are a superior method of reading. I can walk around with an entire library of great books whose value transcends time in my pocket. How many from history would have killed for this magic? How many of us today can be bothered to click download and actually read them?
