That cassette, together with the first Mariah Carey record, were in regular and heavy rotation in my mom’s car in the summer of ‘90.

The torment from my teammates was merciless as we rolled up to the ballpark for games, blasting “Vision of Love” on the K5 factory deck in that ‘87 Blazer.

All was forgiven however, when my grandpa bought out every Popsicle and frozen treat in town after every game, for both my team and the opposing team.

I don’t know if those were better times but they were simpler times.
