I wonder if we’ll see more wallet providers and LSPs choose the Fedimint model to reduce their risk. Spread the federation guardians across many jurisdictions.
If your jurisdiction labels you an unlicensed money transmitter you simply quit and your users won’t notice a difference. Funds still move.
If one guardian wants to retire then the mint can still function and lightning payments can still be routed.
Seems to be a more stable solution albeit you now have a custodian.
