Is it critical in all directions or does it have the standard western society focus? And is it suitable for children?
Discussion
This is about dictators/tyrants/autocrats/etc like Hitler/Putin/etc, which is pretty one-sided to me and I don't think their perspectives should be defended.
The arguments in the book are pretty general (think for yourself instead of repeating propaganda, fight for your right to vote, etc), but include some pointed examples about Trump (like undermining elections).
Probably OK for teenagers who show some interest in more serious topics, but not as accessible as books in the same genre like the Sapiens Graphic Novel.
Ok got it, thanks 😊
Yea I think it’s a bit sad that most of these books are not really criticizing our own system enough. Not saying to defend the standard villains, but it would be great if people would be more aware of the lacks of our own system. Like the EU parliament who’s not as democratic as most people think and our broken financial system.
Maybe I should create a children’s book about anarchy/libertarianism instead of waiting for others to fill that gap 😅
