Did some Googling, Iwata died in July of 2015, and Satoshi's last email was in August of 2015...if you believe that email was real and not hacked like some of the others...

I've seen some argue that none of his emails were signed so that doesn't matter, but others say that the email reads like someone else wrote it, pointing to a hack.
The email being fake is a point that a lot of big blockers bring up, so if your Iwata theory holds true, Nostr is coming out hard against Nintendo, burning everything EarthBound and Kirby that they find.
Nostr should be hard against Nintendo naturally because Nintendo is against piracy
