One of the huge advantages the US has is the power that individual states have to make laws to protect their interests around Bitcoin. With that said, one of the issues the US has is the unbound amounts of ego and stupidity found at the highest levels within government leadership. The G7 countries will likely be the last to embrace it because they have the most to lose from a global perspective.

Realistically how long can they avoid Bitcoin? If smaller countries start reaping the benefits is their anyway the US still isn’t there in say 20 years?

With the corruption and good ol’ boy system that is in place, I could realistically see that as a possibility. They are at the mouth of the monetary spigot. Until that pipe is finally broken by some means I see no change.
