It seems like this could be better explained somewhere. I still am unable to connect the built-in wallet due to mysterious reasons.

Sorry, not sure what you mean by connect the wallet. The wallet is built in and will work with your Nostr profile if you’re using Primal to zap users. If you’re using a different client to zap users using your Primal wallet, it won’t work
I emailed you about this a couple days ago and you said you would check with Strike. I should have used the word "activate" rather than connect, since that is the terminology your app uses. Regardless, I continue to get an email reply saying "Our apologies, we are not able to activate your Primal Wallet based on the information you provided"
