My Proton subscription ends in September, and I'm considering just self-hosting. I haven't sent an encrypted email to anyone in years. Simple login is the one service I use the most from their suite.

i tried self-hosting a couple of years back, and even with DMARC records set correctly a lot of my sent emails landed in SPAM.. ..it's totally possible i missed something with setup.. ..so many nuances to configuration..
..have you had success prior to PM with self-hosting?
