I'm a very specific breed of programming extremist.

It all started with Clean Code, test-driven development, and composite design; and really clicked with the software model described by the Softwar thesis.

AI really shines at turning pseudocode or sloppy code into something properly and consistently formatted and commented. I have done a great job untangling old spaghetti with it.

It's really wonderful if you give it something to work with. But garbage at making things from scratch.

Bingo. My experience is the sweet spot is about 1 function at a time, but that can vary.
