The earth got turned in to a giant pool of boiling magma and metal but it's a good thing the single celled organisms that became the worms then the lizards then the fish and the birds and the dinosaurs were able to give birth to us. It makes sense if you just use an inconceivable amount of time to explain it away.

the time is actually the part that makes it impossible. the math on "random" would require something in the quadrillions of years, or even more, i don't remember. but way more than is on the table.
