For me, it's a tough one because all of the ones in "second place" to me each have their own issues. But if I had to choose, I'd say Snort. It has some issues, but when it comes to features, it's the most feature complete.
Snort is my answer for web. I was thinking native apps. I use snort all the time on PC.
