Agreed, formula is 1.8x more expensive then the first time we had a baby.

Wouldn't recommend feeding that industrial crap to a baby anyway, unless the mother really has trouble lactating. But you do you, ofc

It’s complicated, especially if you’re not the mom and can’t understand. You do what you have to do

She has medicine that is necessary for her to take that it's not safe to breastfeed with. Let's not always assume.

I said "you do you" and I meant it. I support your decisions, am just worried that it's seemingly been normalized beyond reason, at least in the US. When Covid hit and there was a shortage of formula, it sounded like all the babies were going to starve 😅

Luckily, most people here in the nostr/bitcoin space are more sane.

Good luck 🍀 with your kids!!

We don't like formula either but it's the best option unfortunately. Have read about the heavy metals and other bs that has been found in formulas and baby food.

Thanks for the 2 megabytes of zaps 🧡💜

Yep

It’s now officially cheaper to eat out than to shop for groceries! Gotta love the American dream.

It’s terrible, I’ve been struggling with it

Luckily I love ramen for those rough days

You are not alone lotsa peeps on the same boat including myself.

It’s so bad

I’m privileged enough to live near my parents who let me raid their fridge anytime, but it’s been hard

I can’t fathom how hard it is for parents to feed their families right now, it shouldn’t be like this…

Back in 2012 I could get a foot long sub for $5 but now it's $15. You're right, it's ridiculous.

5$ foot longs were so elite <\3

$1 Whopper was legit too.

My dad tells stories of the 25 cent whopper

It’s pretty crazy how exponential the debasement has occurred.

Inflation takes place gradually and then suddenly

Against what?

Priced in what?

Your post is being talked about.

Indeed, they are. Let's not forget about gas prices.

Better here in (314) than a lot of other places.

Agreed

I need to check Aldis prices, but luckily my boys love Rice Beans and Peanut Butter. Also I only eat once a day and need to exercise more - my goal is to be Native American strong and flexible. #[3] what is your monthly food budget and how many does that feed?
