Maybe. They still convert to local currency to get what they need. Mostly. Not all but it’s the easiest route. Different argument.

I have. And Brazil. I get it. But to buy groceries they need do convert to local currency, as bad as it is.

Ok. But at least their purchasing power is increasing not decreasing. In due time, the infrastructure will be there to spend directly with merchants
