I don't know which side I am on in this Bitcoin OP_RETURN debate.
All I want is for people to be nice to each other while debating on the merits.
Pretty low bar, I know.

Both sides fairly strident in opinions. Judging by some comments in threads, there's a lack of identification of moment to go for a run or lift some weights and take a break from keyboard
What is happening ? I've seen a video about storing JPEG in the btc chain. That is bad for a number of reasons
There is no compromsie for me if someone tries to gaslight people into believing that bitcoin should not be a monetary network only.
This is a very easy decision. If you are for it, you condone spam and relay spam to your peers.
If the bip was to make the default no limit but users can choose whatever they want I wouldn’t have any issues.
The fact that they want to remove the ability for users to set a limit is horrendous.
Whatever happens, people will start storing their crap in places other than OP_RETURN (which I understand is possible) and then there will be another big argument about what to do about it.
Unfortunately, that went out the window around the time that the "wizards" got rewarded for their antisocial behavior with venture funding or whatever.
There are good people with integrity on both sides of this debate, and I wish we could get together and put our energy toward addressing the underlying problem instead.
Would love to to hear you articulate your thoughts, I lean bitcoin knots at the moment
TIL some bitcoiners treat technical discussion like social media 🫠
The communication was very bad. As a last minute shitcoiner. Bad
as hard as hodl
