the gossip method would fix this. so far only a couple clients are adding support for gossip, but all major ones have pledged to add support in the coming year. we need to emphasize this implementation. that would resolve these sorts of issues.

There is no issue. This doesn't address any actual failure for censorship resistance. This post likens the relays using the protocol to a single platform, as if there were high friction to getting to the person you want to hear from and rebroadcast.
