Today I got scammed by a person pretending to be one of my known fellow bitcoiners. Not even for a minute did I hesitate or think it wasn’t really him. It was clever and well done. It wasn’t a “how are your trades” message. It was a message with a tone I recognized. I accept responsibility and I’m telling you to be careful. This person knew we knew each other. I also won’t be using Twitter or Telegram messenger for anything again. Not their fault but it is too many of fully pay attention for me apparently. Lesson learned and going into Btc2023 scammers will be everywhere. Sigh.
