For why?
They interrupt everything the receiver might be doing and they don't allow for history/context. Scroll up a voice message thread and try to find out what it's about
Ah. I see. Yes, that makes sense, but sometimes it's way easier to send a voice message if you can't type.

Ok, then imagine every mail client would offer speech to MP3 and half your mails would be mp3s. 😂
It is pain if you need to find something in history obviously, but for this specifically the "AI" development could be actually useful.

Totally agree. Yap yap yap. You have to stop everything you're doing to listen to someone waffle on, um and ah, about nothing at all.
