i was having a think before- do you think it’s tasteful to do it as the silkroad logo? i think it’s sick and prefer it to the current free ross merch, but i wonder what the freeross.org ppl would think
Yeah, I wondered that too. I don't think it should be anything to do with the official campaign, just sending the profits to them.
The logo is already being used by private individuals for their own profit. I just think that profit should be going to a private individual sending it to the campaign instead

Yeah, maybe, I was conflicted with the aforementioned dilemma and not causing accidental harm to their cause
actually the way their motivation reads is that they don’t really dismiss silkroad itself- maybe it would be fine

They don't avoid the topic of SR, they defend it. Ross himself also spoke very strongly about his view that Silk Road was a force for good in society by promoting individual freedom and taking power from the state.
There's absolutely no reason the Free Ross message should be separated from Silk Road and I love the idea of donating the profits to the cause.
