Now do one with the lightning network!

You'll mostly get love for the LN from me, I use it almost every day.

But it's an apple to oranges comparison. Second layer vs base layer, must be online to receive or use a third party (even though noncustodial), have to be online every so often in order not to be potentially rugged, privacy not as equally good for sender vs receiver, and last but not the least, liquidity issues (try routing a payment for a car or a house over LN today without opening a channel directly to the destination).

Nevertheless, and even though it isn't its raison d'ĂȘtre, LN does provide enough privacy and anonymity for Bitcoin transactions made over it, which is why I use it myself & recommend it to friends.

Undeniably as well imo, the ui/ux experience of lightning wallets like phoenix is undoubtedly better than anything Monero offers today.

Nice
