This depends on how you are going to pay him:

lightning IMO Phoenix is the best right now for self custodial but self custody lightning has its limitations right now on mobile.

Basechain I think Bluewallet is really good except it has issues with Notification services if you are running Android 13. There is no custodial lightning on Blue anymore so you need to connect LN to your own node. Not easy for first time user.
