I'm not having any of it. 🫣🤨🧡

How do you find Gemini compared to Google assistant now?

I haven’t hit any of the early glitches some people have mentioned. From a pure functionality and productivity standpoint, it’s a clear upgrade over Assistant.

I treat AI the same way I treat privacy and security overall—threat-model based, isolated, and compartmentalized. I don’t give it access to everything, but what I do give it, I want it to be used as productively as possible.

So far, I’m quite happy with the switch.

You use AI in your home?

Terrible decision. People can't even choose. They're forcing them into rhe hype.

Windows 7 debloated and under firewall antitelemetry is the last usable windows. After that no thank you

Time for an open source, Linux-style home assistant.

It's been around for a while :)

Fucking love, home assistant.

Same.

Looking forward to testing out Home Assistant Voice. Love that you can connect it to popular AI providers or local LLMs and run it local or in the cloud.

Yeah, I've been wanting to try it out as well. 50 bucks a pop for the device isn't a terrible price either.

Not terrible at all for open source software, firmware, and hardware. It's a bargain! I've got it on my list.

What costs 50$ again?

Home assistant is great. I have a Dashboard of all the sensors I have laying around on the house.

Cool stuff.

Works well apparently. Next project
