Have you ever read Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance? He goes down that rabbit hole. It was different and interesting. I am not sure if I would recommend it or not.

I haven't read Z&AofMM for 10+ years. I'm not sure I have a good answer to that question. Maybe a measurement of whether a thing/idea/whatever is more desirable in comparison to others in the same category
