Finally, just waiting on my last channel to close and i will have recovered my funds. Hoping my partner will see the message i sent and force close.
Now, we wait. Good morning, nostr!

GM đŤâ
i predict it will happen in the next 10 minutes đ đ đ
Haha i wish. Its up to the peer to close. I still don't understand LND or lnâĄď¸ as much as I'd like but crashing my node has taught me a lot.
Experience is the best teacher đŹ
What happened?
How did i crash my nodes or why am i posting that i finally recovered almost everything?
I'm LND on Start9 and was messing around with apt packages against the warning flashing on screen as i did it. When I tried to reboot, it did not boot. I recovered from the backup and LBD force closed all channels but the full balance didnt appear. Also, the channels/peers were gone but I restored those from SCB. Still wasn't seeing expected balance so I restarted LND with reset-wallet , reloaded SCB and finally saw the remaining channels is pending close state. I reached out to the peers last night and one responded immediately. Now waiting for last peer or whatever natural process LND uses to close the channel.
I was in the same situation but worse (without SCB đą) earlier this year.
By contacting each peer asking for a force-close and using chantools, I managed to recover the local balance of 5 of my 7 channels.
The remainder (about 50k sats) I give it as lost. It was a terrible experience.
Your anti-LND, pro C-lightning posts make more sense now đ
I still use lnd 𤣠just because I couldn't find a lnurl (with zap support) + NWC setup that I liked on CLN.
The one tthing I did differently was to only have 2 large unannounced channels to well connected LSP nodes, and that's it. It's easier to manage. I get inbound liquidity using loop.
