Trump has been consistently doing stuff that helps Ukraine, but it isn't clear if he's helping on purpose, or if he's just rampaging around the globe for his own reasons. Or both.

Supporting Ukraine is a policy that goes beyond any president's whim in the US.

Same in Europe, contrary to noisy pro-Russian parties like AfD or "Konfederacja" (PL) support for Ukraine is quite high across the whole continent - or you could say it's opposition to Russian revanchism which has the same effect at the end of the day

To be fair, polish support of Ukraine flows from generational opposition to Russia rather than love of Ukraine if anything, which if I understand correctly, also runs thin in Poland.

Yeah, but that's motivation enough. Ukraine isn't going to try to annex Poland.

I agree. And it results in the same policy.

yeah, neighbours are not fans of each other in eastern europe.

the western MSM loves to play up these old rivalries but they have nothing to do with what's going on in reality.

Countries don't love each other. It's enough that they have common interests. For example, a shared revanchist neighbour whose leader repeatedly claims both are his property because 400 years ago something something.

Also, if you look at actual polls, the results are VERY different from what you see in the media, especially pro-Russian ones targeted at Western audience, who endlessly spin the topic of Volhynia etc. In the actual numbers, the share of people supporting military help for #Ukraine is higher in #Poland than in #Germany which at the same time continues to send the critical weapons systems while Poland provides logistics and whatever is left of their Soviet reserves (tanks, Mig-29) plus now PURL while they're desperately rearming themselves

Yeah, the AfD has been trying to sort of reinvent itself as a MAGA party, to extricate itself from its Russophile reputation.

More people here are sick of Putin, than of Trump. Which is saying a lot.
