i was doing the little foot exercises ive started doing lately, and it dawned on me how weird it is that we take something with the most complex bone and muscle structure in the body, and strap it down inside a sealed container that does all the work for us. we intentionally prevent our feet from developing stability and connective strength by enclosing them in padded casts. its kinda odd. imagine how weird it would be to do that to any other part of the body.

Right! I got into the barefoot thing a few years ago... Unfortunately I overdid it running barefoot and created massive damage to my plantar fasciitis... So now I have to wear special insoles or my feet have pain for weeks.
So now its Birkenstocks...

I love barefoot shoes, but I also don't run.
