Floral nerd alert 🚨💐🪻 Today I attended a #floraldesign presentation with J Schwanke from “Life In Bloom” on PBS.

YALL. Look at these chrysanthemums, carnations, and roses… they are NOT DYED! They’ve been genetically developed in Japan based on the genes that make delphinium, violets, and hyacinths blue/purple.

If you’ve never been a #florist, then you might not understand the significance of these blue and violet colors, but when I tell you I gasped! He passed them around for us to see up close and they were just stunning. 🤩

₿eautiful! Guessing those are florist variety?

Can you make an nostrich out of them?

Woah! That’s amazing! 🤯🤩💜

Jessica, I can definitely imagine your in-person experience and hearing this from you reminds me of the days when I dealt with some similar genetically developed roses in Bogota, Colombia. Seeing is definitely believing and the gasping effect I am totally familiar with in such instances of being on-site. I am sure you totally enjoyed the moment as would anyone who has both an eye and taste for such. 😍

It’s amazing what all people can accomplish. Bogota is the rose capital of the world!

Absolutely and without a doubt. 😎
