‘Thousands of years ago, ‘Salt’ was seen as a very precious and valuable good. It was traded as a medium of exchange amongst buyers and sellers of goods.

The word ‘salary’ has its origins from the Latin word for ‘Salt rations’ that were paid to Roman soldiers.

Salt is mentioned through many holy scriptures & the history of many distant and unrelated civilizations.

Despite it being a common good today, its roots run deep in our language and society.’
