Ledger has withdrawn their support for an older device. If anyone had stored their keys on that device, the only way to retrieve them is by ledger's help.

Ledger has a crap history of protecting their user's personal details. So everyone who ordered devices from them (before the incident) to their home address, they all got doxxed.

I wouldn't use a Ledger even if you pay me, same goes for Trezor.

Actually, for the time being, I will ONLY use a Coldcard.

Till news comes out about them. The best method is not to trust a central point. As in don't Fanboy over one company. Use 3 different devices. Less chances of loosing your whole stack. No single company or central point of authority can be trusted. We have learned this time and time again.

Now that you have hardware consider multisig with unchained. casa (if btc only isn't an issue for you).
